| Background | Bruce Helmbold has over 20 years experience working with persons with developmental disorders and complex communication needs. His master’s degree in Communication Disorders, received in Southern California, provided him with specialized training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication and multiculturalism. He now lives in Edmonton, Canada and currently works as a Speech-Language Pathologist at the I CAN Centre for Assistive Technology within the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. He has led many workshops and seminars in the areas of AAC, and has presented at numerous Assistive Technology conferences. |
